Who We Are
The name Concentric Sky was inspired by a woodcut in Camille Flammarion’s 1888 popular science book L’atmosphère: météorologie populaire. In it, a scientist uses his staff to pull back the heavens in an attempt to figure out how the universe works. At Concentric Sky, we like to get into and under your project to see how it works from different perspectives to develop creative ideas and technology solutions.

Team-Based Development
Located in lovely Eugene, Oregon, we've been able to attract top development talent by creating a workplace focused on innovation and inspiration. The company was founded in 2005 by Wayne Skipper, and has grown steadily to a team of over 60 highly skilled technology professionals.

Concentric Sky was founded in 2005 and has since developed partnerships with a number of major organizations including The World Bank, The United Nations, The National Science Foundation, National Geographic, Encyclopaedia Britannica and Cengage Learning.
Our work is featured on Apple's website as one of their "favorite apps for learning." Our award-winning app for Encyclopaedia Britannica allowed the company to fully transition into the digital age. We're the only US development team certified to write code for the IETF.

Wayne Skipper begins Concentric Sky in his living room. Goodbye sofa. Hello corner desk.

CSky moves into a renovated barn, thus beginning the infamous Barn Party era!

2008
Our first iPhone app hits iTunes app store and the mobile division is born.

We moved into our new building in downtown Eugene to make room for our growing team.

Concentric Sky continues to grow with exciting projects in web, mobile and enterprise.
